A text read alone is only half read. The Boethius Institute gathers readers into guided conversation, where one question is put to the group and pursued as far as the evidence will carry it — often well past the end of the hour. Anyone can view the schedule below. Members register for eligible seminars to receive the meeting link, and the leader sees who is coming. Cohort seminars are for readers in that cohort.
I. Scheduled seminars
Register here to receive the meeting link. The session room opens 15 minutes before the scheduled start, and live video opens through the leader’s meeting link. Afterwards, you can return to the leader’s summary and a recording, if one was provided. View the schedule as a list or calendar in your time zone. Cancelled seminars remain marked for registered readers.

These are live programs, held now by video call and in person: the two-year fellowship, the summer university, the mathematics conference and the Fellows Academy. A reader can prepare a seminar card in My Examining Life, and a leader can draft the opening question and plan in the Studio. Both are brought into the session room when the hour opens.
